yesterday i was strangely really sick. i was out of it and trying to beat whatever cold i may have been harboring. but then i got home at about 645, took my tempurature (a whopping 105!) and laid down to sleep. at 9 i woke up and watched the amazing race. it's like i am programmed on a tv schedule, even when highly feverish.

i ate a baked potato, then laid down for the rest of the night. at 11 i felt better but took some medicine and went to bed.

today i am fine. i have no idea what the heck yesterday was about but i am fine now. YAY.

maybe i was posessed by the devil? does that cause fevers?

on monday night i was talking to mike via instant messenger. i guess we were typing, not talking. that's lame. oh well. anywho, he mentioned there being terrorist characters in his spy movie screenplay.

now, being iranian, i get very annoyed at all the muslim terrorists in the media these days. it's like there can't be a middle eastern character in something that isn't about terrorism. (trivia- name 3 things, tv or film, that had middle eastern characters but no terrorism in them in the last 5 years- in america).

every time i rant on this subject mike totally agrees with me. so something like this went down:

ME: what kind of terrorists are in your movie?
HIM: a muslim group
(me, thinking he's messing with me)
ME: are you kidding?
HIM: no, what is the big deal?
(starting to dawn on me that he is being serious)
ME: i REALLY HOPE YOU ARE KIDDING
HIM: why, you haven't read it, it is very balanced
ME: that is not the problem, that you have them in it at all is the issue

and on and on and on.
finally he says that the religion of the group doesn't even matter. so i say "make them jews then". (mike is jewish)

at that point he apparently saw my point and agreed that i was right. i am often right but mike rarely acknowledges it. score 1 for me!

it made me really mad that he would be just as prejudiced as all the other morons working in entertainment right now. it also made me really mad that he has agreed with me every time i have ranted but it didn't seem like he was listening.

if he still didn't see my point i was going to have him pitch his idea to my dad. i know that would have worked.

NOTE: i realize that muslim terrorists do actually exist, but so do many other kinds of terrorists. also, actual muslims do not tend to ever see eye to eye with the terrorist kind. it would be like judging all christians based on jim baker or timothy mcveigh. there are also many many muslims that are interesting for any number of reasons that no one cares about.
