i feel like king of the idiots- but i just figured out that there is a "notes" section of this diary thing where other members of diaryland can leave notes. turns out i have a lot- dating back pretty far judging by the subject matter. so these people probably think i am an aloof idiot who never looked at their diaries or thanked them etc..... sorry- i am not so bright. **************************************** i decided a while ago that this was going to be the summer of letter writing. i did pretty well for a while- emailing people i had fallen out of touch with- writing actual letters etc... but it just occurred to me that i have not sent one of the letters that i have written. i just wrote them and put them away. whoops. and now it is a long weekend so i might as well wait until monday. and by then i will probably forget again. such is life. i also just decided that this was going to be the summer of baked potatoes! mmm mm those are tasty. **************************************** i am listening to the green day greatest hits album right now. i was never a big green day fan because when they started to get all big i was waaaaay to much of a badass to enjoy them. just thought they were sell outs and that i was much to hard core to like them. i had friends who liked them a lot, even my sister did. i appreciate them a lot more now i think. i got this cd as a sort of joke present for christmas and never listened to it until last night. but i have to say that it is growing on me. thank god i am such a pop maven now. if i can enjoy britney- i can't hold anything against these guys. i love their vh1 behind the music- the band has had no real tragedy. but they treat the fact that fans called them sellouts, and that someone wrote something rude about billie joe in the bathroom at gilman st. to be terrible, and show it all in slow-mo to make it all dramatic. it made me laugh. especially since i was one of those kids calling them sellouts. even if i was saying it in kansas and there is no way that they could have heard me. *************************************** i am getting ready to go shoot a music video at coney island for fun. i do not believe in god- but if i did, i would pray to not drop dead of heat exhaustion today. the sun is deadly this year. last night after 11 it was over 90 degrees. there is something so wrong about that. SO WRONG. i will even bust out the sun block. i am afraid that pale pale mike may burst into flames if we go to the beach. that would not be good. |
