i am almost 90% sure that a ghost sleeps on my couch at night. more than once i have gone to the bathroom in the night and as i am walking back to bed i pass the couch and everything is fine. then i pass my mirror and swear i see someone reflected in it- sitting on the couch. this has happened twice now. last night it really freaked me out and i screamed. i went to the bedroom and told mike about it and he said (very calmly) "wait, there is someone sitting on the couch?". i would hope that if someone were really on the couch he would be a little more animated. then he got up to go brush his teeth and i realized twenty minutes or so later that he still wasn't back. he is a thorough tooth brusher- but not THAT thorough. so i started thinking that the ghost had gotten him (whatever that means). so i went into his office and yelled for him. but our apartment really locks out sound, especially when the middle doors are closed. so i went one room closer, but no answer. then i saw light coming in under the door which meant the living room light was on. WHEW! ghosts don't come out in the light! so i went in. and he was brushing his teeth. turns out he was fine and not at all harmed by the ghost. thank god. i will take that to mean that the ghost is a good one that just likes napping (a kindrid spirit of sorts), and i can freely walk through the living room in the dark again. (mike was sick- that is why he was gone for so long- just fyi) |
