things have been happening. there were many times that i thought about updating but it seemed that diaryland was down. oh well. now i have to remember which i am sure will be a less than stellar recounting. the big news was that our lawyer closed on friday. this is real. REAL. mike and i played videogames and went out to dumont for fancy dinner. i think dumont is his favorite place judging by how much he requests it. now to start counting the money i guess. yesterday was persian new year (it started at about 7:33am) and i went to lunch with my counsins and some other friends. it was kind of a pain because lots of people ordered drinks and wine and expensive meals and i ordered water and something cheap and then the bill was just split 6 ways so i ended up having to pay 50 bucks for 20 something worth of food. ugh. i hate that. then luds and i made use of our current optical insurance and went to fabulous fannies. that place has GREAT glasses. their new line of vintage style was great and mike looked awesome in all of them. it was hard for him to choose. usually it's hard for him to find one pair that looks good. while we were trying glasses on one of the dudes cleaned ours and tightened up all the screws. it turns out mine were about to fall apart. we decided on green (like dark bright green with black texture) for mike and pink for me. mine have some kind of pink plaid fabric worked into the plastic. they are awesome. and they were really affordable, even before the insurance. once i figure out either my digi cam or my scanner i will take pics. now all we need are eye exams and lenses. i guess mike had been here for ten days because he left this evening. time flew by. i feel like he just got here. this schedule is progressively getting harder on me. time to book my next flight to LA. |
