look at me, i am on a roll!

today was an alright day. i finally had some down time at work. and what do i get? an email to work harder. jeez i have been busting my ass. i think that has been more cleared up but who knows. i guess i will when i get another email!

then i went to the gym. it was okay. really packed and i watched jeopardy with no sound since i didn't have my book with me. the weights kicked my ass and then i came home.

sidenote- i didn't go to the gym across the street from work, but went to the one that is on my walk to the subway home. i felt like the locker room was much more "friendly" at this one. there were girls sitting at the mirrors doing their hair etc... naked. i am not a prude about such things. the one time i was totally grossed out in a locker room, a lady left the shower, butt naked, walked into the bathroom, still naked (meaning nothing on her feet either), went to the bathroom, then walked back into the shower. as far as i am concerned, she just walked around a public restroom barefoot. oh lord. you don't live here!! is what i wanted to yell at her so badly.

on the road trip across country, mike and i stopped at some super ghetto gas station because i was dying to pee and there was a line in the bathroom. the line was a family who was all bathing in the sink and totally barefoot. in a skanky gas station bathroom they were barefoot. if i wasn't afraid of UTIs (we were in the middle of nowhere, who knows where the next stop was) i would have ran out of there. instead i just freaked out to mike about it for the next 10 miles or so. one of them was the mom- why wasn't she telling them not to do that?? people are disgusting.

then i came home to a bunch of cell phone messages. what's weird is that one was from last thursday but it only just now got to me. thanks verizon- you really are the best.

and then my day was saved when i saw that a new season of "the amazing race" started tonight. hooooooray. it looks like a good one. i also watched the new "laguna beach". i have only seen a few of those but i love what i have seen. i can't wait for the inevitible "laguna beach marathon weekend" since it airs on mtv and they love the marathons.

i learned that hannukah is pretty early this year, like in a couple of weeks. that is both good and bad news.

time to send out the holiday cards. maybe we will do more than 5 this year. last year i was most amazed that we did it at all.
