dearest diary, i have missed you so much! lots has been happening in camp jettpants. that is the curse of diaries. it is so easy to write when absolutely nothing is happening but hard when you actually have things to write about. CURSE! first off, mike is moving to california. yeah, all the way across the country. he made that decision with basically no input from me (since we aren't married he says) and it is a slight sore spot. i am staying in nyc. we are staying together i guess. but anything can happen before august. we got a new apartment. it is a cute 1BR for me to live in by myself for most of the year. it will be weird but probably good. i have never lived by myself before and i have always wanted to, so it should be good. time for me to focus on my career and maybe grad school. speaking of graduate school- did i mention that i was rejected from every single place that i applied? well, i was. i don't get it. i had almost a 4.0 in college and i had semi-famous people write my rec. letters. what the crap?! anywho, i am mostly over it now. i was pretty down about it for a while though. so my options are to work right now. i guess i should call that "option". now mike and i are looking at used cars to buy. i guess the plan for now is to take a road trip from nyc to la. that should be... something. i am not sure if i can take the time off yet. we shall see. i am only a temp afterall. we could see my grandparents which would make it all worthwhile. and i have never seen the grand canyon. we also have to find a cheap apartment in a nice section of la and move out of our current place. sounds easy, right? it's totally a pain in the ass. this might end up being the summer from hell. who knows. i haven't stopped long enough to think about it. and that is about it, diary. i promise to chat with you again soon! xoxo jett |
