i think today is so slow at work because most classes were cancelled. a little thing called 2 feet of snow is to blame for that one. welcome, blizzard 2003! i did not have yesterday off for the holiday. so i woke up to get ready for work. went to brush my teeth and turned on the weather channel. and jeezum was it snowing! they said not to leave the house unless it was necessary. i got the message that classes were cancelled- but not that work was. i looked out the front window and it was just a sea of white since nothing had been plowed yet. a woman i work with lives on 15th street and said kids were making snow angels in the middle of the street since cars couldn't drive down them and they hadn't been plowed. i decided to wait to go in until i heard something. at 9 i got the call that work was closed for the storm. SNOW DAY! it was a nice, lazy day. but i get paid by the hour so this is yet another week where i make barely any money. great. valentine's day was good. we weren't supposed to do gifts really. but of course mike opted to do that rather than give me something personal at all. which annoyed me. but he did go to way more trouble than ever before to make a card and wrap the presents in construction paper. he got me bubble bath that smells super good. so i took a bath. well, actually i took two baths. the first one was like a mr. bean sketch where somehow the water spills everywhere and rains down on the downstairs neighbors, so the super shows up, and i have to get out of the tub and get dressed and talk to him. then later i got back in. we were going to go to a valentine's party thing with kim and meighan and michelle later. christy's band was playing some time after midnight. so i get out of the tub and basically immediately fall asleep. i even took the phone with me to the bedroom so i wouldn't miss kim's call. but fell asleep before i even put on real clothes. kim was smart. she took a nap earlier in the day. me, not so smart. we missed the party. saturday was great from about 11:45am to 3 pm. the rest was just average. i don't even remember what happened or anything. i think i sent out resumes and cleaned up the living room and kitchen. who knows. cranium party ROCKED! it was a good mix of people and booze. must be done again! i practiced guitar a bunch. i actually felt better about it afterward- like i got more comfortable. sharona and i changed one song we are doing. we are now doing "she loves you" by the beatles. i can almost play it and sing it already. HOT CALL. practicing made it more clear that we will be preforming at some point. that thought makes me nauseus. terry is supposed to be honest and tell us if we stink and cancel us before the show. i am gonna throw up all over the place! be there, be there.
