since last thursday there has been construction in the neighborhood. and because of that we have no water between 8am and 4pm everday. these are important hours. especially if you are home all day like me. mike has been getting up early to shower and then goes back to bed to take a nap, and then gets dressed. makes sense. and we have a notice on the door today saying that tomorrow will be more of the same. GRRRRREAT. to quote tony the tiger. *********************************** i put on jeans today that i could not fasten two weeks ago. they are much tighter than they used to be- but i could get them on today. baby steps people. i don't tend to weigh myself- but judge my weight gain/loss by what clothes i can wear at any given time. i am aiming to fit into my ck jeans by thanksgiving. i am guessing that is about 15 pounds away- who knows. luds wants to lose ten. the race is on! ************************************* we went to a pot luck dinner on saturday night. we took an apple pie but neither one of us has eaten any of it. it got good reviews from the other people though. my day will come! ************************************** mike's parents finally came out to the apartment. it was quick and brief, so i have not yet gotten their review. and its funny- because the furniture was covered in sheets because of howie. so it looked interesting in here. they did play with howie though. which led his mom to ask when we were getting a dog- but she paused before saying "dog" and i project that she was going to say "baby" and got tongue tied. mike thinks it was an innocent pause. who knows. ************************************* we made fajitas for dinner and christened the new wok. yumm yum ************************************** i have a lot of work to do for the company. and most of it is fun work for me. things i enjoy at least. so i say, bring it on! but red dragon also opens this weekend- and so does igby goes down, so i say, bring it on after i go to the movies. i am bad.
