i love the presidents of these fine united states! or, i do when they give me a day off of work. halleluja! i have a lot of things to work on lately. and an apartment to crawl around boxes in. and decisions to make. i just wish i could lay around and do nothing sometimes, not that i never do that, i just do it and feel guilty because i know deep down that i should be doing something else. today at work i did almost nothing. it was not my fault. at some point my computer totally died, and when it was brought back to life it was not letting me on the network. so the work i needed to do did not get done. i was not that sad about it. nice to have the excuse i suppose. today i bought mike pants on my lunch break. he needed them because the crotch fell out of three pairs of his pants this past weekend (get your heads out of the gutter dirty birdies!). For anyone who has ever worn dickies work pants- they are great, sturdy pants- until they hit some point where the crotch seams become quite threadbare. some poeple, like my old roomie, live in denial that they will ever in fact tear and teeter on the edge for a long long time. well, mike did that. and this weekend his luck ran out. poor crotchless mikey. and it happened while i was washing them so i felt a little guilty/pissed at wasting my time washing trashed pants. so i got him some new ones today. i am a domestic! |
