woo hoo, march has three pay periods and today is the third. it's like my little pre-tax-refund-bonus even though it is the salary i earn. somehow getting paid bi-monthly fools me into living on a lower income 10 months of the year. news, hot off the presses! mikki has revamped her zine and i am going to write something. i pitched an article to glamour and haven't heard shit back. i need to pitch it elsewhere now that i have the time. i also have a submission for jane that i wrote like 2 months ago but never sent in. durn it. news, slightly luke warm! the meeting yesterday went really well and i rocked it all on my own. progress is being made with the show and luds and i are being sent around the country to meet some kids in the next few months. not news at all! work hours have not been crazy this week. and tuesday was a day off so i am slowly turning back into a normal person. there is another show we were working on about a girl who kicks ass at videogames and in that research i found this: www.fragdolls.com. it is super gross. grody ubisoft put together pretty girls to play their games and promote them while showing mid-driff. it is so cheesy and pretty much the exact opposite of what my point was. i guess the entertainment industry is just looking for more ways to demean women. mission accomplished! i leave for LA a week from today and i am psyched. disneyland adventures await us. |
