hoooooooo boy. this day has been a long one! the breaking of the fast dinner was pretty good. i like mike's grandparents a lot. however, at one point mike's mom started in on me about why luds and i don't get a dog, which quickly turned into "well, when you guys get married..." to which i said "whoa! who said we were getting married??" we are not the engaged ones, why are we getting so much crap! yow. anywho, 15 minutes later we were debating my feelings on marriage and children and how his mom would accept our grandkids no matter what. mike walked in at that point and basically, very unsmoothly, said "well, looks like we should be getting home". uncomfortable city. lately i feel like people are acting like we're terrible for not wanting to be married. well, i for one, know many effed up married couples. just being married doesn't make things good. grrrrr rant rant grrrrr. the other day kim said "why do people act like people getting married should be a happy time, i don't get it" and i could not agree more! the good part though is that mike's mom is taking us shopping to buy us coats. she says we can all get one. HOT!! it's a late bday present for me. i love coats and i love shopping...with other people's money. time to take a trip to sleeptown. |
