happy birthday summer! friday was sharon's birhtday and we celebrated by going to "america." we used to go to america for every gathering. now we don't. sharon missed it so we went and pretended it was like old times. i think she had fun. afterwards kim and meighan skedaddled off to charlie's angels and everyone else went to their respective homes. i was sleepy. mike and i had a weird talk where he said a lot of mean things about me. i think he was mad/tired. at least i hope he was. he apologized the next day. so who knows. saturday was bain's birthday party. it was a blast! i was kind of nervous that it would be full of screaming kids. but it wasn't too bad. lily was so cute in her bumblebee dess and bain was so star struck by the dinosaurs and snakes that he had a hard time relaxing and talking to me and mike. mike and i petted an iguana and then drew portaits. mike gave his big muscles and a tatoo and a cigarette. mike is not child friendly! unless your child is hilarious. after he drew it the girl running the booth framed it and laughed and said "her name is elizabeth" so mike wrote elizabeth on it in pink girly letters. elizabeth the sailor. when we left we told bain his present would be the museum of natural history in a few weeks. he seemed psyched but not happy that we were leaving. i can't wait to get my photos developed. you'd think we had frigging kids at the party based on the amount of pictures we took. jeez. then we went up to the ludwig's to get the mail etc... i have to say, having a car is kinda cool. i like getting out of town, even if it is just 45 minutes away or so. we happened to run into a good friend of mike's who just got back from afghanistan. mike hadn't seen him in like 6 years. we spent all day with their family. it was awesome. we went out for greasy food and ice cream. my two favorite food groups. then today was my birthday. mike made me breakfast in bed- pancakes. mmmm. then we went to the park with meighan and played frisbee and some soccer. then at the end we were allowed to play tennis even though we don't have permits. kick ass. i love tennis. i watched wimbledon this weekend and started missing my tennis days. i am such a lazy asshole now. mike just made me a cake. he doesn't use the box mix, he actually makes them from scratch. he is CRAZY. ooh, i see a present in there. time to go eat cake and open presents.
