May 20*2003, 11:43 pm

i went into the gap the other day on a whim.

there were these pants that i considered buying buy i had to try them on (they were only 10 bucks) so i was waiting in line and the women's dressing room attendant was this 50 year old black gay man.

and he was very outspoken and into his job.

he had a tape measure draped about his neck and if you came out of your dressing room he would make comments like "ooh that looks nice" and "hmm those make you look chunkier than those other ones" it was weird. like he was too honest.

and one girl came out in white jeans that she thought were too tight (they didn't seem tight actually) and he said "its 2003 you either work whatcha got or you don't work at all!"

so she bought them.

he was either being honest or just trying to push pants- i think he was being honest since i'm pretty sure he wasn't working on commission.

maybe i'm just naive.

i didn't model my pants for him.

they weren't the right size, and i didn't need anyone else to tell me that.
