October 27*2002, 8:16 pm

this was a great weekend.

even if i did have a mini-asthma attack and get a little freaked out on saturday morning.

friday's slumber party was a funfilled good time. where i learned that in 1983 anyone who wanted to make a movie was allowed, and from that was born the "sleepaway camp" movies.

or,atleast, i hope that it was because of that, because somehow that comforts me.

i also learned that laura has led a much better life than anyone i know. many stories that i thought only happened in movies- i'm still laughing thinking about some of them.

i am very allergic to cats. i was taking medicine and not playing with them and got to the point when i just couldnt breathe. in the middle of the night i thought about coming home just so i could get a little sleep, but didn't want to sell out the girl's night. when i got up at 10 my lungs hurt and i breathing in and out was tough. then sharona and i went to the bus and we ran the last block so that we wouldnt miss the bus, and i almost collapsed. luckily sharon got to the stop so i could just let her take care of stopping the bus- while i heaved up a lung. then i got home and was weezing like a madwoman. i think i scared mike because he got out of bed and came out- probably hoping i was not a burgular. but i was looking for my inhaler. and i could not find my emergency one and i started freaking out and was afraid i was gonna have to go to an emergency room, when i found it. i took the max amount of puffs and more allergy medicine and my omega III pills, and got super shaky and sick feeling.

then it was time to get ready for the wedding. what timing!

lisa came over to make me pretty and then she left. and then mike was looking all hot and i was getting ready. and we realized mike had a stain on his pants. what timing!

long story short- i called the dry cleaner and begged them to do the pants as soon as possible and they stopped the machine and cleaned the pants just in the nick of time.

we were looking hot and with that we were off!

WEDDING.

it was a fun wedding.

a short and sweet ceremony. a funny preist. beautiful church. the works.

michael and jill were so happy- mike realized then that it was a good thing they were getting married (he had been skeptical).

her dress was so nice. and her hair was all up like a barbie bride's would be.

the reception was really nice and fun. just a good time. and we were there for a long time. everyone was. both of the families were having a great time, and it was nice. anyone who wanted to give a speech could, and there were lots of good ones.

and the most well behaved, cute kids i have ever seen in my life.

i had bouts of shaky, dizziness though, and wanted to go home, but tended to bounce back after about 20 minutes. so when i would get shaky mike would do this thing where he would say "okay- we'll go home after i finish this drink" and then i would sit down and he would get me a juice or something and then by the time he finished his drink i was okay and didnt need to leave. it was a brilliant trick.

i tried to help ivan land a single girl at the reception but the plain fact was, was there were very few single girls there. michael's friends are mostly single guys and jill's friends are mostly gay men- makes for slim pickens for ivan.

poor, poor ivan.

but then we left and went to christy's halloween party- the best party of the year!- around 1130.

ivan had more girl luck there.

i felt lame that we were there in our wedding clothes and not in costume at all. oh well.

mike joked that he was there as someone's lawyer- i'm sure that would fool people.

it ended up super packed.

and kim was pissed because there were like a hundred margot tenenbaum's there. she was clearly the best one though. she had a fake finger and everything. word up ladies- putting on a polo dress does not a margot tenenbaum make. it's all about the DETAILS!

at some point it was super crowded and i had a really hard time breathing anyway. and mike was sweating all the way through his suit- partly due to his "dance moves" he was trying out all night.

so we left.

it was a nice night.

and today we went to a wedding brunch (since so many people were in from out of town) which was aweseome. michael's family has the coolest new york apartment that i have ever been to.

i wanted to never leave.

then we got home and cleaned.

it was truly a great weekend.

especially on sunday afternoon at about 5:15.

but everything else was good too.

and now to screen a rough cut! blah blah blah.
