i went to the empire state building today. i had never been there before. didn't even know what street it was on. and i owe it all to ludbutt (mike). it was tiring and full of tourists, but still fun. a lot of the tourists reminded me of family members, so i tended to not get annoyed with them. but sympathized with them. i can't picture most of my family in ny. they would just be tired and annoyed and want to go home. just like 90% of the people at the empire state building this evening. it was pretty dingy though and run out of a basement- the world trade center was much nicer. with less roped off lines, that spanned multiple floors. and no where to sit down. even once you reach the top. whatta scam! mike pointed out that they don't show the enormous lines etc... in "sleepless in seattle". that made me laugh. |
