i have strange work hours for a while, and have had at least sort of strange hours for a month now. 4 to midnight for the next 2 or 3 weeks at least. and last night it didn't hit me until i got home that howie would be gone when i got there- it was sad. but it was nice because ludbutt waited up for me. i had presumed he would be asleep, or on his way to sleep by the time i got home. and he was all bedroom eyes- which may have been his clever rouse to keep my sadness about howie away. if that was his purpose, i have to say, it worked like a charm. the best part was a few minutes into my arrival. he's all hot and bothered and what is on the tv you ask? an encore presentation of a dr. phil oprah. this is what he is watching at 1 am. oprah. i laughed so hard, especially when he went through the couples on the show and their problems and talked about it the same way as i talk about it. sometimes its like we're the same person. that is both scary and hilarious. for different reasons.
