live things- like plays and musicals- should not advertise on television with actual clips of the performance. it just makes it look terrible and cheesed up. and basically embarrassing. i find crying in public to be embarrassing. watching a sex scene in a movie with my dad is embarrassing. watching the opening scene to mike's (and other people's) improv shows is embarrassing. if i were in a play or musical, i would find watching the commercials embarrassing. (especially if i was in "contact")
